POLO-KAL – Noise Insulated Drain Pipes
Regarding drain pipes, we are presenting you an Austrian manufacturer POLOPLAST.
We are representatives of POLOPLAST in Slovenia for the following systems:
- POLO-KAL 3S - dimensions of pipe
diameter from DN 75 to DN 160 mm
- POLO-KAL NG - dimensions of pipe
diameter from DN 32 to DN 250 mm
- POLO-CLIP - clamp material for pipes
POLO-KAL NG and 3S
- POLO-BSM - fire extinguishing pipe bracket
- POLO-RDS
Characteristic of both systems is that the pipe is constructed of three
different layers, which enable outstanding acoustic noise
insulation, great solidity
and temperature persistence (long-term 95°C, short-term 97°C).
Material, made up of special polypropylene component, guarantees greater stiffness,
optimal toughness and excellent resistance to strokes at lower temperatures
that enables high security while using POLOKAL draining system.
Both systems
are mutually compatible in the build-in process and they are suitable for
in-house installations as well as for more demanding drain installations
in hotels, banks, blocks of flats, hospitals …
NG and 3S systems differ in
thickness of three layer wall and in the polypropylene component structure. We recommend 3S drain pipes in white colour, when high
sound insulation is needed, and by vertical wires, where a fall of water
causes the loudest sound. However, NG drain pipes in blue colour enable
satisfactory sound insulation and are, due to the reasonable price, suitable
above all
for
in-house installations.

POLO-KAL 3S
1 ) The outer PP layer is the protective cover of the medium
transferring pipe and the intermediary layer and provides high stability,
rigidness and impact strenght. It is the typical white colour of the
POLO-KAL 3S.
2 ) The unique elastoplastic middle porolene
layer developed by POLOPLAST
is decisive for the outstanding noise insulation results of POLO-KAL
3S. It dampens impacts and vibration, absorbs airborne and impact sound
waves and this way minimises the discharge noise.
3 ) The inner PP layer surfaces are absolutely smooth. Excellent hydraulic
properties and high chemical resistance prevent any incrustation or
corrosion.

POLO-KAL NG
1 ) The outer PP layer forms the protective cover of the pipe and shows
outstanding impact strenght, sturdiness and excellent weather resistance.
Its even surface is the unique blue colour of the POLO-KAL NG pipe system.
2 ) The mineral component reinforced middle
PP-MV layer is decisive for
the excellent sound insulation of PLO-KAL NG. It is due this supporting
layer that the pipe becomes highly rigid, solid and safe.
3 ) The smooth inner PP layer rounds off the excellent features of POLO-KAL
NG trough its high hot-water and chemical resistance, as well as abrasion
resistance and low tendency to form incrustations.

AN EXAMPLE OF USE - CENTRALISED VACUUM CLEANING UNIT
For the realization of
centralised vacuum cleaning unit, we offer you three-layer antistatic polypropylene
pipes POLO-KAL NG.
Contemporary building more and more often includes in the
project a centralised vacuum cleaning unit as well. Its advantages in comparison
to classical types
of vacuum cleaning are:
- waste air with micro dust and micro organisms is drawn off from a building
to the atmosphere;
- we avoid transport of a vacuum cleaner from a room to another room and
up and down the stairs;
- since a centralised cleaning unit is located in a separated room (usually
in basement), such a noise is considerably smaller than a noise generated
by classical types of vacuum cleaning;
- by vacuum cleaning we could use only a light flexible vacuum cleaner pipe,
which is connected to a vacuum cleaner dose without an electrical cable and
consequently without an electrical connection.
